INTRODUCTION

EasyAscii is a utility for determining the Decimal and Hex numeric equivalents within the ASCII character set.

EasyAscii uses a simple character chart layout so you can quickly find any available character. Plus, you can input characters, hex or decimal numbers to immediately jump to the corresponding place within the chart.

CHARACTER CHART TAB

Character Click within this box to enter any character from your keyboard (including ctrl-key combinations). Doing so will immediately highlight the corresponding character within the chart, and will also display the appropriate decimal and hex equivalents. You can also paste within this box instead of typing, and copy the contents for pasting in another application.

Decimal (html) Click within this box to enter any valid ASCII DECIMAL number (0 to 255). Doing so will immediately highlight the corresponding character within the chart, and will also display the appropriate decimal and hex equivalents. You can also paste within this box instead of typing, and copy the contents for pasting in another application.

Hexadecimal Click within this box to enter any valid HEX value (0 to FF). Doing so will immediately highlight the corresponding character within the chart, and will also display the appropriate decimal and hex equivalents. You can also paste within this box instead of typing, and copy the contents for pasting in another application.

Select Font Click this button to open the font selection dialog window. Once you have selected a font, the chart will automatically update and display the newly selected font. The font information will be displayed at the bottom of the EasyAscii window. This can be very useful as fonts do not always have the same number of characters. By changing fonts, you may be able to find characters not available in other fonts.

Help F1 Display the online help. Click this button or hit the F1 key.

Tips When checked, popup tips will be displayed when your cursor hovers over buttons.

EMAIL ENCODER TAB

Text Entry Enter the email address or text you wish to convert in this input box. The converted characters will automatically appear in the converted characters box below.

Converted This area displays the converted text characters. You can select and right-click to copy desired characters or click the copy button to copy from this area.

Double encode Encode the already encoded results for extra protection.

Add Quotes Check this box to add quotes at the beginning and end of the converted character display.

Colorize Check this box to colorize the @ and . symbols in the converted area for easy reference.

Copy Click this button to copy the converted characters. If nothing is selected, the entire contents of the converted area will be copied. Otherwise, only the selected characters will be copied.

Clear Click this button to clear the contents of the text areas.
