INTRODUCTION

EasyMag is a utility for magnifying areas of your desktop. You can easily zoom in and out, as well as capture screenshots and capture color information in four different formats (RGB, Long, Hex, and VBHex)

After zooming into any area of your screen (under the cursor), you can take a snapshot of either the entire screen or just the zoomed-in area.

EASYMAG WINDOW

The Display The center of the EasyMag window shows the area under your cursor, zoomed in to the desired magnification. Below the zoomed image are 3 indicators:

- X/Y position of your cursor on your screen.

- Color swatch showing the current color under your cursor (under the red plus sign)

- Magnification level – "Mag:"

Zoom Slider This is the only interactive feature in the EasyMag window. You can scroll the handle up to zoom in or down to zoom out. Note that you can also use the "page up" and "page down" keys on your keyboard to zoom in and zoom out. The zoom level is indicated below the slider and marked "Mag:"

OPTIONS MENU

Toggle RGB/Hex Switch between displaying the color value as RGB or HEX

Auto Clear… Clear the clipboard when exiting easyMag.

Always on Top Keep the easyMag window on top of all other windows.

Show Center Do not display the mouse coordinates*.

Show Coords Do not display the mouse coordinates*.

Show Color Do not display the current color*.

Show Zoom Do not display the zoom factor*.

Help F1 Display the online help. Click this button or hit the F1 key.

About Click this button to open a window with information about EasyMag, including a link to our web site.

*Note If the coords, color and zoom are not displayed, the program automatically hides the bottom portion of the window. This area will reappear when at least one of the items is displayed

CAPTURE MENU

Adjust Screentime Sets the length of time EasyMag waits after hiding itself before capturing the screen. This is to ensure that the EasyMag window is completely hidden before grabbing the screen shot. You should test this speed and adjust it for your own computer. (This does not affect capturing an image)

Slow - Waits approximately 0.5 seconds.

Medium - Waits approximately 0.2 seconds.

Fast - Waits approximately 0.05 seconds.

Capture Screen Hides the EasyMag window and captures the entire screen to the clipboard.

Capture Image Captures the EasyMag image to the clipboard.

Copy RGB Copies the current color RGB values to the clipboard.

Copy Hex Copies the current color HEX values to the clipboard.

Copy VBHex Copies the current color VBHex values to the clipboard.

Copy Long Copies the current color Long values to the clipboard.

Save As... Saves the clipboard image to a BMP file.
