MiniInfo Help
MiniInfo is a utility for accessing some of the more commonly requested information about your PC. In addition to being able to view this information, you can also ping other computers on your network, select certain information items to display in your task tray, release and renew your IP Address, and open a DOS Command shell.
MiniInfo starts in your task tray so that it is as unobtrusive as possible.

Right-click the MiniInfo icon to access the popup menu.
Open Select this menu option to open the main MiniInfo window. You can also left-click the icon to open the window.
Help F1 Display the online help. Click this button or hit the F1 key.
About Click this button to open a window with information about MiniInfo, including a link to our web site.
Exit Exit MiniInfo.

OS Displays the Operating System (by name if possible).
User Displays the login name of the current user.
MAC Add Displays the MAC (Media Access Control) Address of the machine.
PC Name Displays the name of the machine.
Memory Displays the amount of memory (RAM) in the machine. This is physical RAM only.
Proc ID Displays the Processor ID if available.
Disk Select the disk you want to see info about.
Total Displays the total capacity of the selected disk.
Free Displays the free space available on the selected disk.
Used Displays the amount of space used on the selected disk.
Address Displays the IP address of the machine. This area is also used for Ping.
Release Click this button to Release the current IP address (for DHCP only).
Renew Click this button to Renew the IP address (for DHCP only).
Ping Enter an IP address in the ‘Address’ field and click this button to Ping that address.
Refresh Click this button to have MiniInfo refresh all the information.
Cmd Click this button to open a command prompt.
Help (F1) Display the online help.
About Click this button to open a window with information about MiniInfo, including a link to our web site.
Tips When checked, popup tips will be displayed when your cursor hovers over buttons.
Checkboxes When checked, the information to the left of the checkbox (OS, Disk, etc) is displayed in the popup tip when your cursor is over the MiniInfo icon in the tray. For example, when only the MAC Adress box is checked:


Dropdown Select an environment item from the dropdown list to display information about that item. For example, the “Path” environment variable has been selected in the snapshot above.

Some items have been blurred for privacy.
Specs List Displays all of the available specifications for the machine. Scroll through the list to view.
