MiniMerge Help
MiniMerge is a utility for merging multiple text based files.
You can open the MiniMerge interface or simply drag-drop files (or a folder containing files) onto the MiniMerge icon to create a single, merged file "C:\Merged_Files.txt"

Drop List Drag the files or a folder full of files you wish to merge into the top box, then use the buttons below to create the merged file.
Ordered List This list displays the files selected to merge in the order they will be merged.
\/ \/ Click this button to move all of the file(s) from the "drop" list to the "merge" list. Note that you do not need to select any files from the "drop" list to activate this button, however there must be at least one file in the "drop" list.
\/ Click this button to move the selected file(s) from the "drop" list to the "merge" list. Note that you must select at least one file from the "drop" list to activate this button.
/\ /\ Click this button to move all of the file(s) from the "merge" list back to the "drop" list. Note that you do not need to select any files from the "merge" list to activate this button, however there must be at least one file in the "merge" list.
/\ Click this button to move the selected file(s) from the "merge" list back to the "drop" list. Note that you must select at least one file from the "merge" list to activate this button.
Output File Name Enter the name of the merged file to create when clicking the "merge files" button. Note that this is only available if you have unchecked the "use default name" checkbox.
Drive Selector Use to select the drive where the merged file will be saved.
Directory Selector Use to select the directory where the merged file will be saved.
Use default… When checked, MiniMerge will use the default merged file name "C:\Merged_Files.txt". You may also select a different directory. To enter your own name (and location), uncheck this box and use the drive/directory controls to set your desired name.
Keep output… When checked, MiniMerge will use the current Drive, Folder, and File Name as the default merged file name.
Show short… When checked, MiniMerge will display the dropped files with only the filename, removing the path. For example, the file "C:\my documents\myname\mytextfile.txt" would be shown as "mytextfile.txt". To display the full path names, uncheck this box. Note that this only affects the display of the file names.
Tips When checked, popup tips will be displayed when your cursor hovers over buttons.
Clear Lists Click this button to remove all entries from both the "drop" and the "merge" lists.
Merge Files Click this button merge the files on the "merge" list into the specified file.
Reset All Click this button to reset the MiniMerge interface to it's original startup settings.
About Click this button to open a window with information about MiniMerge, including a link to our web site.
Help F1 Display the online help. Click this button or hit the F1 key.
Status This box displays the current status of MiniMerge, including success or failure when creating the merged file.
