WebMaster Help

INTRODUCTION

WebMaster is a utility for manipulating InternetExplorer (IE) and storing and using URLs.

Specifically, WebMaster is designed to automatically refresh URLs, automatically increment URLs, and store URLs for repeated use. The automatic processes in WebMaster can provide for easy, "hands-free" surfing of specific types of URLs, like those found on web sites specializing in thumbnail pictures.

CHANGE URL TAB

URL                       Displays the current URL. By selecting a portion of the URL (specifically, a number or part of a number as shown above) you can then have WebMaster automatically change the value and navigate to the new URL. In the example above, the “1” would be incremented by a value of 1, every 5 seconds.

Automatically…      When checked, the selected portion of the URL will be changed based on the additional items on this tab, such as ‘seconds’, and ‘increment’. If this is not checked, you can manually change the URL by repeatedly clicking the ‘Start’ button.

Number Entry         Click the up/down arrows to change the seconds between URL changes when in automatic mode.

Increment…           Select this option to increment the selected portion of the URL when changed. For example, “1.jpg” would be changed to “2.jpg”.

Decrement…          Select this option to decrement the selected portion of the URL when changed. For example, “2.jpg” would be changed to “1.jpg”.

By:                        Enter a number used for the Increment or Decrement.

Refresh…               Select this option to refresh the URL only without making any changes (do not increment or decrement). Use this option if you are watching an eBay auction, for example.

Start                      Enter a number used for the Increment or Decrement.

Back                      Tell the browser to go backwards. This is the same as clicking the back button on the browser itself.

Forward                 Tell the browser to go forwards. This is the same as clicking the forward button on the browser itself.

Stop                      Stop the automatic changing of the URL.

Timer                     Displays a countdown until the next URL change, when in automatic mode.

SETTINGS TAB
